    I saw a photo yers ago of a substantially complete B17 “Spot Remover” in the former Isslemeer (excuse spelling). Always wondered what happened to it.

    Think Mustang Sally was relating to the four wheeled Mustang!
    An obscure one, from the E.L.O’s album ” Out Of The Blue”. Track called “Night In The City” “Seven Four Seven, just left from gate eleven, and theres no turning round, cos she’s just leaving the ground, and getting higher”…………….

    Its a very depressing story. My lasting memory of this Lanc was of it looking superb in the Strathallan hangar.I posted several photos on this forum about 6 months ago. The rear tutrret didnt look very convincing, if memory serves, but otherwise it really looked the part.
    I hope Mr. Weeks gets round to restoring it sometime.

    Not quite so dramatic, but it was the blue BBMF Spitfire coming towards the crowd from a distance at the Prestwick Air Show in about 1976. Transfixed at seeing one in the air, with the front on view of the famous shape-a real one at last!!
