Spitfire G-ILDA has been flying from Lee-On-Solent this week. It has been repainted in an early war green/brown scheme with no codes. For film work maybe?

Grumman Albatross N98TP flew into Lee late this afternoon from Southampton for fuel, and then departed at 4.24 back to Southampton. Miss Pickup flew into Lee yesterday from Duxford for the Lee On Solent VE day celebration weekend.

The model is a true representation of the version of the Argosy used by the RAF (C.1). The rear door of the C.1 could be opened in flight for supply drops.
The rear of the civil version was very visually different, it being of a rounded design.
Let’s hope that the new owner is in a position to keep it in the condition that it deserves.
You’re probably thinking of Tora, Tora, Tora.
