I agree- rounded wingtips and photo taken about 300ft off the deck when parked- it could only be a Stirling!
TT
brilliant.. i was thinking the same… 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀
can someone tell me how many “if eny” Mig-25s are left in Russian airforce service today.. or eny older designs like Mig-23,27 or Su-22,17..Mil-6,10.. 🙂
So Phantoms were involved in two fratricides?
considering the Phantoms conflict history, are you sure its just two. i may be wrong but was there a number of reports during Vietnam where F-4s shot down friendly aircraft..
watching the news tonight, the israeli bombs dropping on beirut airport and Apaches causing havoc, it made me think… i just can not understand how the rest of the world just sits back and observes… can you just imagine if it was say North Korea doing the same to South Korea or Iran bombing Kuwait. i wonder then if we would just sit back then…. unbelivable.. them Israelis can really get away with murder cant they…

just seen it on the news.. they say it was a GR-9 Harrier and the pilot is being treated on sight. the reporter said the Harrier hit a police car..
just heard on the news a RAF Harrier GR-9 has crashed just north of Oxford apparently on its way to Fairford, the pilot is being treated on sight, acording to the news the aircraft hit a police car !!!!, but the driver is ok…
was the F-4 on a test range or did the pilot mistake the Jag for a ruskie. just wondering how can you accidently shot down a aircraft in a non combat situation..
another thing is that we are all on this forum lovers of aircraft, some of the people have worked or are working with aircraft of all different types and ages, others just have a passion for aircraft, everyone has there own opinions. one thing you have to learn on this forum is to dont take everything you read personal. i think most people on here try there best not to offend or insult other people. take the replys you wasnt looking for with a pinch of salt, have a laugh as well as being serious. if this forum was serious all the time it would be boring. the members of this forum have a huge knowlage of aviation but they also have a sence of humer…. 😀 😀 🙂 😉
if only some examples of the aircraft mentioned survived the scrapmans torch, it is a massive pity some classic RAF and FAA types are lost forever. i suppose the state of Britain after WW1 and WW2 preserving aircraft was not thought about. as someone else has put it. i think we should be grateful of whats left, and make sure the same fate does not bestow on them… 🙂
Yes but it can also be said that availibility of resources to support the population growth will also increase. The fact that the Earth has already coped with the massive growth in the human population up till now, why will it not continue to do so? it’s unlikely that there will be a major population/resource crisis in the next few hundred years.
Possible new technologies developed by humans will also allow future increases in population to be supported at a high standard of living
yes so far the Earth has coped with the massive growth of us humans, but at huge cost to everything else. the trouble is with us if we are to survive everything else has to die. we can all talk about the damage and destruction we have caused. but hardly enyone talks about putting a stop to it. we humans think we own this beautiful world we live on. but we dont. if you put the Earths life so far into 24 hours we have been here for about 5 minuates. as i have said before we have no right to play with nature. we should stop trying to save the human race, it does not need saving. instead we should put all our brains into repairing all the damage we have done. what is the piont of saving the human race if we have nowhere to live.

we are all forgetting the cheapest option.. tell the world we are developing nuclear weapons, then wait for the Americans to invade.. then we would have the most powerful airforce in the world… think of the money we would save… 😀 😀 😀 😀
i can remember THE ART OF NOT BEING SEEN sketch… so funny. 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀
