i am hoping and praying ENGLAND will win… its about time we did… we have a good bunch of players.. its being played in Europe.. so the signs look very good… but if i had to bet my wages… my money would be on Germany.. 🙁

the Sea Harrier..
give it a modern look down, multi purpose radar, a BVR AAM, like the AMRAAM…. electronic and structral improvments.. for another 15/20 years service… :confused: :confused:.. WAIT THERE A SECOND !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…. 😡 😡 😡 😡 😡 😡 😡 😡 😡

yes its got to be 2 or 3 even 4 years since my last Wessex sighting.. i can just remember, when i was a nipper, a wessex used to drop paratroops on the Lugg flats, not far from my house. about 2 or 3 times a year. a Chinnok done the same until about 5 years ago.. it was always great to watch.. if i can remember they used to drop 8 troops, land and pick up the troops and do it all again.. it would go on for about 2 hours…
what about the father of the Wessex…. the Whirlwind….. 🙂

i think im gonna have some fun with this thread…
the Blackburn Buccaneer..
a modern state of the art.. TFR.. and other electronic improvments..
more powerful, economic turbofans.. glass cockpit, up to date weopan syestem…. and train me up to fly it. 😉

They are indeed, but the Seafire isn’t part of the FAA Historic Flight, it’s owned and operated by Kennet Aviation…. 😉

sorry Kennet Aviation… your Seafire looks fantastic.. she will give me and a huge number of people great pleasure at air displays…
so do you think a Sea Harrier should be kept airworthey…. in Great Britain i mean… i think so. there again i dont think they should be RETIRED just yet… 🙁

very very nice indeed… they look beautiful together…. all they need now is a Scimitar, Sea Vixen, Buccaneer 😉 . i suppose a Sea Harrier as well 😡 ….

no more F-16s please.. i think the polish should replace there Fitters with Typhoons.. or Mig-29s… or Saab Gripens.. for now keep the good old Fitters, theres nothing wrong with them… 🙂

how meny Vixens and Javelins are left intact these days… there is the fantastic Red Bull Vixen… pity there’s no airworthey javs around… 🙂

i agree with you there.. on the other hand the FAA could call it the Scimitar 2…. or Sea Vixen 2… i hope the RAF and FAA will have there own name or names for the F-35…
