i do think a camoflaged foxbat looks awesome…..almost scary….. 😮
im pretty sure it was when the ruskies sent a bear to farnbourgh or fairford, heres another……or the tornado crew forced the bear down……i wonder if that ever happend for real….
heres a few ive found…..
eny decent photos of foxbats ….. 😀
very nice pictures…you dont often see a russian aircraft bombed up like that…..a unusual camo scheme as well……
..well said that man….in a perfect world there would be 10 vixens airworthy…along with a a few javelins, lightnings, victors, scimitars, swifts,CONCORDES….etc etc etc etc….
its not though is it…..im just grateful to these people who are willing [or mad] enough to spend all there time and money on keeping these fantastic old aircraft in the air…we should be treating them like saints not devils….all i can say is….WHO GIVES A **** WHAT COLOUR IT IS, AT LEAST SHES FLYING….keep up the fantastic work…..
oh yes seeing them fishbeds would have been awesome…. 😀
the harrier in a hover is amazing it feels like your chest is about to explode, when you can smell the exhaust gases makes it even more impressive…when a nimrod does a high speed pass is amazing i think..you would swear blind a fighter is passing over…the vulcans [terrifying] roar and the hunters blue note always makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.
i bet a tu-22 blinder lifting off on full burner was pretty loud…….what about helicopters..i always think a lynx is pretty loud for a small chopper….
thanks more fantastic models….
i did make some soviet aircaft models a few years back..i had a 1/72 blinder a foxbat,foxhound,il-28,su-17,mig-27 and a su-15…ive still have the model flagon though she looks a bit worse for wear now…the rest got wrecked…well i was young then..lol…i always wanted a firebar or a fiddler…i would have treasured them…
heres one we havnt mentioned……
im not suprised they thought the fiddler was a bomber..according to a source of mine, there was a bomber version called the tu-128B, i dont know if it even got off the drawing board though. as the su-24 fencer was given the go ahead.
as for the yak-28-64 it was armed with 2 AA-2 atolls and 2 AA-3 anabs like its ancestor, but it also had provision for 2 drop tanks on fuselage pylons.
still nothing on that interceptor blinder then?????…. 🙂
it looks real to me…very nice indeed
does enyone have photos of tornados or buccaneers dropping or launching weopans..i can never seem to find eny..apart from the tornado, JP-233 shot………
most western camo schemes are now boring i agree…but i did like the USAF vietnam type colours..and the RAFs wrap around camo scheme..i think the mil-8s and mil-24s around the world have the best camo schemes.
it will be fantastic to see a 262 flying again….so whats next…how about a couple of stukas…or some me-110s or one or two ju-88s..that would be great…..
i belive the aircraft in the picture is a yak-28-64. it was a major redesign of the firebar, built to compete with the t-58 [su-15]. i think only one was built as obviosly the su-15 was chosen. does enyone have more info on the 28-64??.
another question was the mig-9 fargo or the yak-17 feather ever used in anger. i think some fargos where deployed in korea. was eny exported.
if only i had half a million quid……………the vulcan is one of the finest aircraft ever built [as well as concorde], come on people lets get her where she belongs IN THE AIR………..
in a few months time i am gonna be a farther for the first time…..and i want my child to see this amazing ,fantastic, wonderful aircraft flying. so he [or she] can be amazed like i was the first time i saw her display…..
doent that camoed halo look fantastic…..
was the mil-6 painted in eny sort of camoflage. i know peruvian examples where..the only russian examples ive seen, seem to be grey….
