    Apparently the aircraft at Bandung has been taken inside for restoration;

    Hi,

    When we saw it, it was “preserved” just along the side of the road. It was just a lucky find, as we were driving from Rszezow to Mielec.

    The image was taken in October 1995, at which time the aircraft seemed to be intact, at least with wings etc.

    Regards,

    Hans

    that’s mine!
    But I have an “argument” with some of the other guys at Wikipedia re this airframe, why I did some googling to prove my point – and somewhat to my surprise ended up with this topic :p

    We saw this aircraft (N3535C) in the vilage of Widelka, roughly halfway Mielec and Rszezow in October 1995.

    Hi,

    The place is crawling with Tu-2s, well, they have at least 3

    Actually, they have four! You might want to have a look at the scramble wiki or the the photo page which comes with it to check.

    Hi,

    Don’t suppose that there was any sign of the Mitsubishi A6M5 Zero that is said to be there?

    Sorry for my (ahum) rather late reply 😉 , but as far as I know the Zero is, or at least used to be, in Datangshan

    I am not going to write here everything, you should find something also by yourself 🙂

    Yeah, I know 🙂

    But for quite a lot manufacturers I already had been able to compile those lists, at least good enough for me, but the above just kept on eluding me.

    Thanks guys!!

    Hi Arthur,

    Thanks for replying, though most you mention were already known to me 😀

    Convair
    B-58 Hustler = Convair 4
    C-131 Samaritan = model 240, 340 or 440
    F-102 Delta Dagger = Convair 8, with subdesignations 8-20, 8-82, 8-90, 8-10 and 8-12.

    Other Convairs include;
    F-92; Convair 7
    F-106; Convair 8-24 and 8-27
    F2Y-1; Convair 2
    Still trying to figur out how their designation system works though…..

    Douglas
    B-66 Destroyer = Douglas model 1326, 1327A, 1329. Depending on variant and contract.
    C-74 Globemaster = Douglas model 415A
