There would have been sighs of relief from millions of people on this day 67 years ago, well remembered

I said this back in 2005 on another thread, I think it still stands today only the year should change.
    Hi.
Bluebird lifting off the water on 4th Jan 67 is something I’ll never forget.
I think it should be restored and taken to coniston water on the above
date in 2007 to complete its ill fated second run, and lay a wreath where
Donald Campbell lost his life. Then put it in a museum with the biggest
union flag as a backdrop to honour a truly great british hero.
    Phil.

    Space

A brave chap.Have we progressed enough in the time since he went into space do you think?

No, I realy thought we would have had a base on Mars in the late 80s at least, instead the Americans don’t even have a manned launched capability anymore.

    Apollo

[QUOTE=Biggles of 266;2005265]It is an interesting thought that the ‘artifacts’ left on the Moon, could actually promote another space race.

Can you imagine the political repercussions, if China (Or N. Korea!) were to go to the Moon, and return with the Apollo 11 descent stage and put it on display in Bejing?[/QUOTE

Or the Chinese putting a colony on the moon and bulldozing all the Apollo hardware in to a crater and saying sorry but we can’t find any American stuff here, it must have been a hoax, because I can’t see America ever going back
    there.

Thanks very much for your help guys.

They are definitely all original, my dad bought two of them from Gordon F Wright’s gallery in Salisbury some time back and commissioned Les Vowles to do the other, so I am in no doubt that they are the real deal.

    Can you recommend any galleries?

You could try registering on the Fightercontrol and ukar forums, they both have for sale sections as opposed to this site.

The point that has obviously slipped past your comprehension is that the ONS consider it a perfectly valid answer.

    Moggy

Putting Jedi down as your religion makes more sense than any main stream
religeon, when O-be-wan said “the force is an energy field that surrounds us penetrats us, it binds the galaxy together”, what scientists now call dark matter and dark energy, without it our Galaxy and all other spiral galaxys would fly apart. So a Jedi who believes in a force that does exist has more credability than someone who just thinks there is a god.:D

    book

The book, “Challenger A Major Malfuntion” is a good insight to the whole
shuttle project, all the mistakes and bad practices are covered.
The programme was good tv though.
