missile
That should up the price of the property, having your own missile defence systems got to be worth a few bob.

SR71
I am surprised that SR-71 was on public display in 1974. Were Soviets not allowed in 🙂
Just as much I’m surprised that F-15 and F-16 were on public display in 1976, the year they entered service.
Just seems too early considering the secrecy and heat of cold war. Those were three top aircraft of US air force.
love to see pic like that though!
thanks for posting!
Thats the SR-71 that flew from New York to London in a record breaking 1 hour 54min 56.4 sec on 1 sept 1974 and was
put on static at farnborough, this is the F-15 from that year.

3-2
I think 2 sqd would argue with you on that one as they consider that they were the first heavier than air sqd being formed earlier the same day. |And they are organising an event in May.
I just got my info from the RAF webb site, are you telling them they’re wrong
or should I.:D:D
Avrocar
As this youtube clip shows…the Avro Flying Saucer was absolutely ready to go into space (well it might have needed a few modifications LOL) 😀
If you read up on this it should have had a speed of about 300mph and fly at a few thousand feet, how did they get it SO wrong?
display line
Maybe that’s where the new hotel is going….
No it’s the fence for the new spectator display line for the coming season.
3 SQD
I wonder if 3 sqd are planning anything special as they were the first RFC sqd to be equipped with heavier than air machines a hundred years ago on 13 may 1912, a Typhoon with a full make over would be nice:D but don’t hold your breath:rolleyes:
