Hi firebex, if as you say the items in the photos were assembled by unskill volenteers , then very commendable, but to use such photos to advertise a business showing parts that obviously arnt airworthy just shows the worth of “spitfire restoration company”. If as they say they have 140 yrs of experience then where is the evidence !! If by touting photos like these ,some one new to spitfire restoration may think that this kind of work, while acceptable as static, is the norm, thus harming the restoration industry as a whole.

There was also a site with images of that one that was for sale in Canada?? Partially pulled out of a building in yellow chromate and after funding… But lost the damn link.

Classic aircraft sales has a MKXVI spit for sale.

Hi all, if the fuselage section they are showing on their web site is an example of what they do then then prospective customers would do well to look else where to have work undertaken ! God knows what sort of rivets have been used ! or are they bolts ! obviously supposed to be a PRXI or similar. Top of Fr12 is not correct and fwd & art datum longerons not correctly joined !! They can not be serious!

merlin3945, I know its all about that important piece of paper, but to me an aircraft has to be airworthy before the CAA can sign it off as being airworthy !!
