What’s going in with all construction work? Never even noticed it the past 2 weeks I’ve been there.
I believe they are relaying the asphalt on some taxyways. Was funny last week watching some aircraft holding way out on taxiway Alpha and Delta for some time, so that the heavies could go right round the western apron, before heading for 06L.

Sure did! I’ve been a Canucks fan for 5 years, and they didn’t have a home game when i was there last year, but i got tickets for the Avs game, and they’ve just clinched a post season playoff spot last Wednesday, so its buzzing in the city at the moment!

I had to blink twice to see if it was her, and was quite suprised, as you say a very nice touch by them. I had a great FA on the way back, she was from Surinam, and we got chatting about the MD-11 as she sat right next to us on the way back. And the pursers on all the flights, were suprised when a Welshman, wearing a Welsh football shirt, said Hello and Good Bye in Dutch 😀
Thank god I speak Welsh, as both languages sound like one and other 😀
Indeed! There was a big artice on it in the Vancouver Sun last week when I was there. A lot of people suprised on the West Coast, as they only said last Tuesday they had no financial problems.
The rumour is that they will carry on, as a charter airline, doubtful though. Was good to see one of their 757’s on Thursday night before we left
I am thinking of going to the Fairford airshow this year, possibly combining with with LHR and/or LGW and/or the RAF/USAF low-fly ranges in Wales. Anyone interested?
