The only time i saw concord fly was watching it takeoff from Heathrow inside Terminal 3 when I was about 5.
Duxford still has some exciting moments namely the P-40N and P-51’s at this years Legends and Seafire SX336 a few years ago.
As we are on a thread about seafire’s may I post this link of Seafire Mk.IIIC PP972 which is undergoing restoration at Bentwaters? http://www.demobbed.org.uk/image_view.php?a=1139&s=pp972.jpg
And whats the current situation with Seafire XVII SX300 which is also at North Weald?
PK664 was at the science museum for a while in deconstructed state : http://www.sciencemuseum.org.uk/on-line/spitfire/111.asp so I guess it was then sold or donated to the RAFM reserve. Open to correction though.
It is from the Daily Fail so you can expect lots of errors!
Have you tried Retrotec Limited? They have restored quite a few airframes for vintage aircraft operators and they are based in East Sussex. You could drop them an email or call them to see if they are interested in new engineers .http://www.retrotec-ltd.co.uk/contact/
Here are some pictures from the BHHH facebook page. (free for all to view) https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=457769497664129&set=pcb.457769714330774&type=1&theater
Thanks for the correction. Though It would be nice if IWM decided to run the engines on their B24 or B29!
Great Video thanks for posting. I would love to see the B24’s engines running again.
A very good emergency landing if i must say! The pilot obviously what he needed do to ensure he was safe and to prevent damage to the aircraft.
Does anybody have a link to where I can listen to it?
