I’m guessing one container for the fuselage and one for the wings. Its also interesting how the wings on Warbirds are only attached to the fuselage by a couple of bolts!
Hangar update: With Flying legends a distant memory the majority of the fleet are undergoing routine maintenance. The exception being the P-47 which while being disassembled near the hangar door provides a unique opportunity to see the inner workings of this magnificent aeroplane.
So it seems rumors are true. I think this is the time to thank TFC and Stephen Grey for spending the time, money and resources in restoring this rare and beautiful P-47G Thunderbolt.
“Princess Elizabeth” was sold to Jim Beasley (ex horseman) who owned it in Pennsylvania for a few years. He then sold it to Tom and Dan Friedkin in Texas where it now resides.
I was asked about a Merlin engined fighter over Billericay Essex Sunday 11am ish in green.
Any ideas. as I was thinking Hangar 11 P40 maybe or a Hurricane
Hangar 11’s Hurricane was flying yesterday from North Weald so it was that.
