50 percent of the population voted for Bush, if you don’t believe that, enough voted to throw the election into dispute. The election wasn’t stolen. If there was any credible evidence to support that, we would have been doing years of Ken Star style investigations up to this point, and Bush would be out by now. Believe that.
50 percent is a lot. The above mentioned articles paint half of the U.S. voters/population as crazy, zealots,idiots,rednecks,ect. Thats not true.
A lot of people have been talking a lot of stuff. This has been going on for awhile. For a long time I’ve been called names and thought bad of for expressing a belief. Thats cool. The difference now is, the other side is finally returning the compliment. Now instead of either side trying to make a coherent argument, or refute a claim or charge with facts, you’re just an effin nazi, or an effin commie….
There isn’t a real Liberal or Conservative party in the U.S. anymore. They are all “Panderist’s”, “Pandercan’s”,”Pandercrat’s”, and they are all, full of hate. If you disagree with someone politcally were I’m from, they get screaming,red faced, name calling, mad. It seems like the people screaming the loudest, have never, ever, ever, done anything in their lives, but eat food, breath air, and watch tv. They’ve never served their country, their state, or their city, in any capacity, they just get their SOMA from Tom Brokaw and Bill O’Reilly, and scream. They would actually physically attack people who disagree with them, but they are pussies who let their mouth get ahead of their brains, and their asses. I seems like some of that behavior/thinking has been spread to our friends overseas.
I’d like to congratulate my fellow Americans, for turning the rest of the western world into loud mouthed screaming no thinking drones. Good freakin job! Thats one part of American culture that should have stayed in the good ole USA.
I’d like to just exist one day without having to hear, Bush said that, so there! Kerry said that so there! He’s a Nazi! He’s a commie! What do you think of that O.P.! Here’s where I make my mistake…”I honestly don’t think I can give a crap anymore.”. That makes me the worst person on the face of the earth.
If you think you know whats going on, do yourself a favor, read a little more, ask a few people, check at least one fact, and please, please,please, be polite. Just because someone disagrees with you, doesn’t mean they are trying to kill you and your country, and the planet.
If you believe the drivel, coming out of either candidates mouths, or the mouths of their pundit’s, you’re stupid. If you believe any of the “promises” they’re making, you’re stupid. They aren’t there to help anyone, lead anyone, do anything for anyone, it’s just a naked, very aggressive, lust for power. It’s powered by fifteen to twenty years of “SCREAM!” politics. Everyone believes that krap now. Anything can be said, or done, because I’m absolutely right, and you’re absolutely, dangerously, wrong.
We haven’t reached the bottom yet folks. Both sides have deployed lawyers to dispute the upcoming election. I have a feeling the “dispute” will be, we lost. Thats gonna be fun. I don’t think anyone will be satisfied ever again with any of it, we’ve just built a permanant way to hate into American society, and it’s kind looking like that way of thinking is begining to permeate most of the Earth…gonna be an interesting few years ahead of us….

O.P.Something must be wrong, I haven’t seen the Swedish Bikini Team in a long time. Thats just wrong.
O.P.We stopped in Diego Garcia, inbound and outbound the Indian Ocean in the 80’s, to load stores. It was especially valuble when our relief boat, was broken down in Pearl Harbor or Subic, and couldn’t come out. It allowed us to resupply without going off station. Diego Garcia has allowed the U.S. Navy, Royal Navy, and Australian Navy, to maintain a constant, powerful presence in the Indian Ocean all of these years. That does matter, more than most people would think.
Whats not mentioned alot is that this is part of the Chagos Islands. People lived on the other islands also. They were also moved for being a security risk. Whats happened to the Chagos Islanders is bad. There should be reparations, and they should be allowed to move back to the other islands.
I know I hold an unpopular view, but, Diego Garcia has been, and will continue to be, important to all of our militaries, and our countries.
We should do all we can to try and right a wrong. But Diego Garcia, the island, should remain in the hands of the military.
O.P.I’ve always been partial to the RV-4’s, and theres the new Radial Rocket, they showed that plane at OshKosh, very nice. Don’t know how available it is though, it’s seems like their website is down.

I picked planes that are not flying currently. There are many others that are flying now that I want to see that should be built new, some of them are pretty much new, one I like is Cole Palens Albatross. Do you think that there are still plans around from when they built that plane?

I’m a novice, but I’ve done at least 20 high speed breaks in formation and solo (3 all by myself). What I don’t understand is why the break was conducted away from the airfield? Is this some thing you guys have seen before? Every time I’ve participated in this, it’s been straight down the runway. I don’t know about Yak’s, but doing an off runway break in a T28, and then flying the dirty plane back to the runway would be,,,,stupid,,,,,a bummer,,,potentially dangerous. Usually, the break is made, You get dirty on downwind, turn and land, no squares. Even a go around on short final, is ungood in that configuration. Not dangerous, just , not good.
Sorry dudes about beating a kinda off topic thing to death in this thread. This is the first time I’ve read one of these reports, and kinda got it. The things I got out of it is……..
1. Not getting a reply on the radio would send up a lot of flags with me.
2. Overtaking someone on base, in the pattern…..I wouldn’t do that, for any reason.
3. If you feel the need for a break, and its busy on an uncontrolled airfield, get out and wait,or, do it 1000′ above the pattern, or, get over it, and don’t do it, thats what a speed brake and space is for.
4. Doing an off-field break, isn’t a break. It’s buzzing someones house, and thats illegal.
