That’s the nicest pic of one of ‘my’ improved camping sites i’ve ever seen, Aleppo! See that olive treeyard just above the nose of that Mirage? Great spot… although when we woke up next morning we felt it was a bit too close to the airbase for comfort 🙂

I think a few more RA- birds are flyable, but only eight should be operational at any given time. The Russian air force had already withdrawn the type by 2000, but they took them into service again by the summer of 2001. The Ivanovo birds should all be withdrawn (a bunch of them were scrapped), but Migalovo still operates it’s An-22s.

Those Flounders look different in size becaue of lens distortion. A wide-angle lens does that – just look at the edges of the apron. In real life they most likely are parrallel and straight, not curved like on the pic.
