If you want attention, just ask!
There’s nothing RAF about those colours if you ask me. Civilian registrations, civilian colours, no reason for me to wake up. Boring!
I don’t know. By the time i stopped learning English and started blabbering, bullsh!itting and ignoring all advice my teachers ever gave me i think i got the hang of it.
Learning a language requires lots of alcohol, and an occasional read.

Hey, if you book your ticket ASAP you haven’t got the right attitude to be a diehard fan 🙂
But i guess we’ll be meeting each other somewhere next year!

JAS39 Bramborak!

I like the idea. Especially since the Gripen was designed to be flown the Swedish way: no flare, just fly against the deck. Construction-wise it shouldn’t be too hard to make it suited for deck operations because of this.
However, i do think the Gripen is a bit underpowered for carrier work. But then again, as the engine bay should be capable of housing an EJ200, that could be considered.

If I didn’t know better I’d say Wildenrath
Nope, Wildenrath was just a single-runway base. Much like Brüggen (again, built under the same program) but more in the open. This is Wildenrath.
Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!
As if i didn’t love the Czechs enough! A great dekujeme from me to them, for choosing quality over bully-bulk. Too bad the losing side can’t resist to show the face it so desperately tries to hide…
And since the Czechs don’t have the G in their alphabet, i believe it shall be Hripen. Even cooler 😀
As for that Dutch kill, it was an F-16AM. The Israelis did get some combat experience with their Block 15s, and i believe some of the ANG units deployed during Desert Sheet/Fart were block 15s as well. No -ADF’s of course.
I believe the UAE or one of the other Gulf states have the Cougar as an ASW platform (and then still only a handful), but that should be it.
The Merlin is by far the best looking one though. And it makes a nice assault helo as well because of it’s size. Any reasons why it isn’t in the list? Range and payload wise it’s more on par with the Merlin than with the NH-90, which is more in the Bell 212 class.
No, just the wooden bench. I probably wasn’t there when the pic was taken anyway, as there is no smoke from the BBQ (which should be in the treeline to the south of the Eastern threshold).
An easy one.
