Uh… you might want to get your facts checked. All of them. Repeatedly.
– Germany retired it’s Alpha Jets in the early- to mid 1990s. They were used in the attack mission. German training was, and is, in the US.
– The Alpha Jet never was France’s primary jet trainer. The Magister was, replaced by the Tucano in the 1990s. Alpha Jets are advanced trainers with the AdlA
– Israel is replacing it’s Tzukits with the T-6. The Skyhawks in the LIFT role are to be replaced with something in the T-45/T-50/M346-class. You know, the class nobody really wants.
– The T-37 is no longer in use with the USAF. Replaced by the T-6.
I don’t know if you were any good at other stuff than ‘being eccentric and weirdly creative’, but you shouldn’t exacarbate that romantic notion and use it as an excuse to lament over former glory while all that’s being done about the current situation is complaining.
From abroad, it seems that a quite a number of people in the UK are nowadays behaving like the exact opposites of the four Yorkshiremen.

Well… there is a remark being drawn out of it’s original context if there ever was one.
But since I’m the one being quoted, I think I have to emphasize this remark was purely about Britain as seen from the other side of the channel. And absolutely not in the way you British folk percieve yourselves. One one hand having finally achieved a more or less civilised level of social equality, on the other hand slowly realising that the inhabitants of your former colonies have followed the goods that were looted from them and have settled on your island.
Seen from abroad, Britain seems to have lost it’s …excentricity is probably the best word. I would say that over the last 25 years Britain has slowly grown to be a normal country, instead of the creative, wasteful, inefficient yet well-stacked semi-European island with it’s weird desire for odd traditions it once appeared.
You’re just a country. A nice one, but nothing special.
France is slowly getting to realise that too. Germany had to face reality by 1945, Russia by 1996 (and now they are trying to deny it again)… i think i might get coherent about this in a week or so 🙂

Lots of stuff lying on airfields in Eastern Europe.
Nowhere near as much as in the 1990s. Most of it has been cleared years ago.
Speaking as a grandfather from the UK (with an internet connection), I invite you to reconsider your definition.
Only if you wipe the foam from your chin 😉

Nono, not everything is rectified. Lincoln 7 still thinks there were French technicians in Argentina after the invasion of the Falklands. There weren’t. The French support crew never arrived actually. They were due in early April, but since the French declared an embargo almost right on April 2nd the Argentinians had to figure out how to employ their “amassed pile” of 5 Exocets.
As for the former glory of Great Britain… well, back when I was young the image one had of a ‘grandfather from the UK’ would have been a civilised, well-educated gentleman wearing a bowler hat. Nowadays it’s an ill-informed frothing-at-the-mouth nationalist bigot with an internet connection.
Yep, Great Britain isn’t great anymore.

What is so “Next Gen” if it went from 1200 to 900 gpm?
Marketing-speak for fanboys to get all thrilled about 🙂
Aardpiglet, aardpiglet, aardpiglet. Have been saying so on this board since 2004…
Yep,
A sample from the article;
“Germany’s biggest march of neo-Nazis later this month ..SNIP.. that in excess of 5,000 people will turn up.”
Don’t read anything about the extreme left in here, but if you want to read it it’s probably true.
Please, provide a source that states the USN believes the Super Hornet. Is better suited than the F-35C in the Fleet Defense Role.
Well obviously. The. F-35 will be getting the attack. Role replacing the F/A-18C/D flee. T while the F/A-18E/F will c. Ontinue in the fle. Et defense role.

i gave up when i wrote a letter to a local newspaper once complaining about the councils harsh actions about evicting some food stalls from a local tourist attractionit was so heavily edited and altered you could nearly believe it was a complaint from the opposite viewpoint

To be honest, an editor going over your posts would be a really great idea. You know, for stuff like grammar, interpunction, spelling.
