Did you actually read the ‘opinion’?

The ‘opinion’ was in three parts (note part one) and unless you are doing 100mph or are going round a hairpin bend the average drive will cope without power-assisted steering or servo-assisted brakes.

Have you actually tried applying your brakes gently with the accelerator pedal pressed hard down in gear, clutch out?

    See what happens.

If that was in the link then it should have been typed here.
And, once power is gone from my car, it is almost impossible to turn the steering, and it won’t stop either. I have done this “Just for the hell of it” on Dunsfold runway (When it was still a runway) and when I had an immediate battery fail as I left my drive, luckily there was nothing coming and the opposing kerb stopped me. At Dunny I was doing 40 and from my drive less than 10. BMW 5 series and 7 series. Real cars, not Jap heaps.

You absolutely sure about that? Even the middle of the wing seems to flex much more than any 747 or 777 I’ve seen! I could well be wrong but having seen plenty of videos and photos of it I just can’t believe it’s an illusion. More than happy to be proved wrong though!

    Paul

It has to be stiff enough for the job! erm, I’ll start again.

Beyond the Lump attachment mounts there could very well be more flex but somehow I doubt it’s very much. I hope it isn’t moving in opposite sync. with the tip, like an Indian Dancers arms!

I just spat a mouthful of hot Kona coffee all over my computer screen 😀

I am SO going to use that quote at work!!

I thought I saw all Frasier, but don’t remember that one.

Links to (safe for work!) websites are OK, old shape.

So-called “hot-linking” (where, for example, a video on another site is directly embedded into a posting) is the “no-no”.

    Cheers

    Ta for clarity.

Yapping to the wife on this subject matter (She’s doing life as a Social Worker with kids and thus knows a bit) it is now thought very wrong to place kids in different ethnic and colour backgrounds, it is seen as diluting a culture and also confusing the roots and history of the kiddie.
It goes agin the PC brigade and hence the academics/councils don’t know how to handle it.
They of course detest (Who doesn’t) the fashion status of having a black one, like Mad Donna.

The advice is correct, the other opinion is not.

If you turn off engine (Obviously leaving the key in) then you will lose Hyd. braking power and power steering. One needs control of as much of the machine as possible.

Dunno about handshakes, there’s nothing wrong with greeting your closest friends with a damned good hug as far as I’m concerned! 😀

    Paul

This is what Bass playing does to a man!

    Some earlier post….
As for the gals kissing the director from America, that’s a PC way of sleeping with the boss. Or just general crawling.

My Sound Manager S/w (RealTek) has a record button, hit that and it records whatever is on, from the net or a CD or a mic. However, the files are humungously massive.
If it is a Radio show you need, it is probably far better to search the net, there is possibly a podcast or a torrent for it somewhere.
What exactly are you looking for?
