That would be a different thread altogether.
Start it, if you like.
I’ll just go and get some popcorn………… 🙂

So surprised nobody has mentioned the Red Indian “Ethnic cleansing” carried out in USA.
Anyway,
Unfortunately, throwing money at a group that has not yet been allowed to integrate into the “Cultured” society, because of prejudice and/or ignorance means that a large portion of that group will drink themselves into an early grave. Which, knowing how Governments think (a) Gets them off the hook buy paying out (b) Shortens the length of the problem by them dying (c) Recover a significant amount of the pay-out in the booze tax.
My brief vist to Oz included the obligatory Ayers Rock. I was alone, but a group of British gap year students set about tackling a group of Ozzy ‘Whites’ because the latter were urinating on the rock, specifically because it was “An Abbo God”.
The English lads, being polite in comparison, were no match to the gobby Oz idiots with sticks…in the small fight that ensued.
What chance has any integration policy got with a mindset like that around?
Obviously, the idiots were a minority (I really hope)

Chocs and a card. I get her flowers weekly anyway.
Got to be done. Foreplay is a 24/7 role.
But the gremlin inside me SHOUTS LIKE HELL at the fact that a card costs nearly £3. I could make better myself…in fact next year I will!

That’s one funky looking Lancaster.
So bad, it should have been a Morecambe.
For those Americans on here, Morecambe is a sea-side town a few miles from Lancaster. Morecambe is now unfortunately a very run down and sad looking place. Various attempts at sprucing it up have failed. Mainly because it’s too cold there to be at the seaside, people go to that part of the UK to walk the Lake District.
Awesome video!
I think OY is a Finnish registration? Not the Flying Finn, more like the Diving Finn!
Mind you, if that’s what Atlantic City looks like, no wonder they introduced gambling…
Bri
PS: Could language differences be the reason he landed at the wrong end of the runway?
English is the international language of Air Traffic is it not?
However, Prince Phil once said that USA and GB were two countries seperated by a common language…..but joined at the Atlantic.
Why was the whole thing being filmed? I mean right from the start? Did pilot declare an emergency and go straight in on “Any” available runway pointing in any direction?
Thanks for the reply. The new camera is a Canon 400D – last time I went to Wattisham the pics were dark and someone advised me to change the metering settings – so I think I did it too much, as I did it a whole point. Will have to have another try to get the correct settings – as I said I am new to this, as I only had a point and shoot camera last year.
OK good.
The slight under exposure is easily recovered in Photoshop. Overexposure means the data is lost forever.
400D, nice choice.
If your pictures were dark, and still are….maybe you altered the setting the wrong way? Or maybe the metering mode is on total average? Check the metering is on centre, (Or even Spot) so the thing you focus on is the thing it exposes for. It’s all trial and error until you know the ins-n-outs of your camera and of course your tastes. Every person sees a different picture….and some judges at my camera clubs see some very different pictures!!! LoL.
I always have my exposure compensation set at minus 1/3rd stop. This means that all my shots look a tad dark until I get to the PC. The underexposure saturates the colours, and allows you a certain confidence that highlights will not be washed out.
The beauty of A/c pictures is that setting Photoshop levels can be easy. As there is usually a white point (Part of the upper fuselage is always in direct light and is usually white) and a black point….the tyres. Pick these out with the “Dropper” and the levels is a 2 minute adjustment. Hopefully 🙂
But again, it’s all down to what and how you see it.
Great shots!
I always like to see a wing with all the moveables in action.
Most people (Not on here obviously) don’t realise the amount of moving hardware involved on a TE or LE.
The Reg. G-ASDA must surely be just for the advert? SDA was a Beech Queenair.
Or, have we gone American now and recycle registrations willy nilly?
Nice shots! Good angles and a good “Natural habitat” background.
However, the shots all look underexposed by about a half-stop. Underexposure can of course be recovered in PS or others. What did you have the metering set on? If it was on centre, I would put the compensation up about 1/3rd or a 1/2 stop.
If it was on total frame average, it’s probably worked bang-on.
What is the new camera?
Can you put the exif data on here?
It could of course be the tool you used to convert them to small files for internet posting?
Well i guess theres a ton more variables if its an airliner, is it a scheduled flight is one thing, what about its transponders/IFF type thing, is it flying ‘normally’ as in not eratic, if it gets uncomftably close i would imagine it then gets hailed or radio’d whatever but i guess that wouldnt prove the guy flying it is genuine, then if it keeps on a track that will collide with the carrier then send up some jets to get a look at it with the eyeball and see what the airliners doing, anyway i don’t know thats how i’d imagine it would be sort of like.
Edit: i know what your saying old shape, i partially agree, in my own little opinion is that if the pushing and shoving really starts then by all means bring it on and yes it would be good economicly i guess but before that happens i think most of us would rather keep it more relaxed, chilled if you like. Also i think some 50 thousand or so people died in cold war related stuff, or so i got told at school i rememeber.
I think that was the Western propaganda…..which is good if you follow my philosophy above. “Taxpayers not moaning….”
The military deaths in the Cold war were nearly all to do with “Spy” aircraft being shot down. A few lost at the bay of pigs. The total death count is in the hundreds (But I don’t think more than 500) from what I can gather.
In my post I said no military shots fired, what I meant was in real conflict. I wasn’t really counting the spy craft..but they are indeed military deaths.
I’m not really sure paranoia is the correct term, i think concern is a more apt word to use in this and the previous incidents. I mean we all want peace yeah, none of us really want full on Cold War Mk2 do we, not that i’m saying these few moves go anywhere like that, but what i mean is these acts, which are in many peoples eyes symbolic of the old cold war shinanagins are rather concerning in that they point toward us all going back to a dangerous era of hostility.
Personally i think its fine, let Russia do it as long as we all know the rules,or rather are reading from the same rulebook as everyone else and that go’s for the rest too. The high seas are no-ones property and everyone should to put it simply ‘play nice’ – none of that shooty shooty stuff and we all get along fine.
Any pics from this yet or too early?
Edit: Keeps all the military guys on thier toes too! Can’t be too bad eh…
more on this from news people: http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080212/wl_nm/usa_russia_bombers_dc_4
How dangerous was that then? 1 crisis in Cuba and then years of pushy shuvvy without a military shot fired. (OK, some spies were probably shot by other spies but that’s their occupational hazard).
…and all the time, the real enemies still existed, growing more and more anti West.
More damage was done to UK Naval shipping during the Cod war with Iceland than was done by any meeting with the Soviets. A few rammings took place at sea. Not clever.
As per my earlier post, for those of us involved in designing, building and selling arms, Cold War 2 is a good thing. Both sides are sensible and appreciate that any attack will mean the removal of both sides from the planet, so a mighty game was always at play.
As I said, fully armed Army, a real fleet at sea and an Air force of hundreds of platforms, taxpayers not moaning about the spend. Hundreds of thousands of Defence related jobs back in the economy. Research spin-offs bringing even more amazing technology into the domestic market.
This is a bad thing?
At least we’d be fully tooled up to sort out the real riff-raff presently giving us jip and taking US/UK lives for no real reason but sport.
Outstandingly fantastic.
Would I try it?……probably not, once kids come along life is more valuable.
Would I have done it before kids? NO GODDAM WAY! RofL, he’s within 15 feet of rockside and ground (When he goes past the road). One microburst and he’s a 6 foot diameter red puddle.
There’s plenty more Wingsuit vids out there but that is one of the best.
May I suggest you do a Google or YouTube search on “31 wheeled roller suit in Swiss Alps”.
Another equally nutty activity, but this guy is the only one that does this. Music by Muse, “Map of the problematique”. Speed of roller blader, about 70mph.
