Deaths in Iraq have fallen very sharply, because we won the “Unwinnable” and put democracy in place.

Ah, the Voice Of Reason.
If we add this latest effort to your avowed desire to bomb China’s major cities and turn Iran into radioactive glass, then that’s quite some body count you’re building up.
Hey,
I manufacture; sell; assist in the design and advise on Weapons and the platforms that deliver them. From ones of minor destruction to mass. I am very very proud to know that these will be used successfully against our enemies of the day. The better we make them, the more accurate the kill. My desires only stem from (a) Paying my mortgage (b) Ridding the world of anti-western scum (c) Knowing that I can give our Forces more bang for their buck is also a buzz.

The woman. Well, now the ex-woman….
(I don’t mean that in a Monty Python parrot sketch kind of way, of course!)
Why can’t they accept the fact it’s their fault?

It is very winnable. But it might be distasteful on the methods used – but it’s time we had a rethink yes. We’ve been too British. I will agree to pull our troops out…so long as we can supply Israel to do the job (If they need supply. Their stock is building up nicely at the moment.)
There is no such thing as a brave politician. There are men that were once brave then went into politics (Tony Benn for example) but that’s when it all goes sour.

I had to google the name.
A Pot Bellied skunk-head perchance?

Sounds rather like “Kill the Infidel!” to me.
Now where have we heard that before?
Lets not forget, they started it. We NEED to finish it, and we will.

I’m not sure there was a need to destroy the trucks. In a war that (if it is to be won) is going to be won by ‘hearts-and-minds’ this was clearly a disaster for the coalition forces.
From the Guardian report:
“…the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan said coalition air-strikes were responsible for nearly a third of the 1,013 civilian deaths during the first half of the year.”
So 300 civilian dead during the first half of the year just from air-strikes and the war in Afghanistan has been going on since 2001.
What was the total death toll of 9/11 and the London and Madrid bombings? (3236 I checked.)
The ‘enemy’ may be being indoctrinated by extremists…..but we’re not exactly helping ourselves are we?
Hearts and minds went out years ago. The day the first IED went off in fact.
