Indeed the usual good nature of this forum seems to have dissipated somewhat in recent months. Which to me is a real shame 🙁

Just a quick note, apparently while I was away enjoying myself at Newark today the team got the Artouste in and running. I hope to have a fuller report (courtesy of Rich) and pictures (courtesy of Nimrod Mate) for you tomorrow :D. But Lindy lives again! Monday morning Edit- due to forgetting to bring my laptop with me it’ll be late in the week before I can update. Unless someone else wishes to step up and do the honours?

I spent a very enjoyable 3 1/2 years in with 298 sqn. Until it came to my GCSE time and I had a fall out with the CO due to him not wanting to allow me, as an NCO, time off to revise. Still, happy memories of shooting, and more importantly flying at Finningley, Leeming and Linton. And i still have (and fit in!) my ‘crisp packet’ ex-cadets of the 90’s will remember. It comes in handy on wet Victor fettling days! 🙂

It may be of help to PM Peter Verney on this forum. I know he flew 14’s, it may be worth asking him if he’s any time on 13’s.
