And the chance to get photos of one Vulcan flying over the top of another one. Absolutely superb, and well worth the wait.

Now that would be a photo I’d be jealous of- share! Closest I got was a not-great shot of 558 taxying out past 607 2 years ago for it’s Sunday fast-taxi run 🙁

Incidentally, I was displaying as part of my model club at Coventry museum on Sunday, and got my 3rd chance to actually climb inside a vulcan. Being inside one makes you really appreciate the skill required to display and operate such a large aircraft with restricted visibility.

Indeed, I’ve been in the cockpits of 4 Vulcans, one time very lucky to be in the company of Barry Masefield, and they are cramped and the visibility’s not great.
The Victor’s a far more civilised arrangement…:);)
