    Many thanks to Blue_2 for supplying the missing nose cone. It was good to meet you at the event and the part was very much appreciated!

    My pleasure, nice to see it back where it belongs being useful. Nice to meet you too, and great to see the Bucc doing her thing and looking amazing on what was, for me, a great day out. Roll on the day you have 3 runners together! 😀

    Edit- there’s some pics of the day hiding over on the photographic thread

    The tyre was chewed up owing to the crosswind component, the Lightning was blessed with thin, high pressure tyres and crosswinds greatly reduced tyre life, sometimes down to only two or three flights!!!.

    Thought so, seem to recall a similar thing being said on a DVD about Thunder City I’ve got. Was really great to see a live Lightning finally 😀

    The highlight of the day for me was being towed out of the Q-shed while sat in XS904:D:D:D

    You chaps certainly, ahem, had your money’s worth out of that Port mainwheel tyre! I’m guessing that crosswind was something to do with it?

    That’s really not nice mate- just 2 questions;

    1. Does this lass know how you feel about her?
    2. Does your supposed best mate know how you feel about her?

    If the answer to the above is yes then firstly she’s not worth you, your time or your energy, and secondly he’s a pretty damn poor excuse for a best mate and not worth jack sh1t either.

    Chin up mate.
