So I’m guessing here Peter, you might have had four Shackletons at Gatwick?:)

Sadly I can only guess what that lot fired up would have sounded like! 😀

American Cheeseburger was borderline for an entry in the what made you swear today thread……

The Roast Dinner one would also qualify. You feel the need to comb your tongue after sampling that particular culinary delight…

yeah i know lol, ive had quite a peaceful afternoon actually, mainly the sound of a 2.0 Diesel LDV Convoy 🙂

How does that contitute peaceful matey? In the same way as putting a couple of bricks in a cement mixer, turning it on then sticking your listening flaps within millimetres of the rotating drum? Because there’s little differnce between the sound of that and an LDV!!! :D;)

Every year for the last 15 years.

I peeved one three years ago when I stepped on it with bare feet. It managed to sting and bite me between my little toe and it’s mate. I then invented four new swear words, one of which was 74 letters long:eek::eek:
My fault, it was hunting on the floor for insects singed by an external porch light that I had left on all night.

If you get too close to their nest (within a metre) they will warn you by flying (gently) into your face. This I only ever did once. They are reluctant to sting humans. They also keep the wasp population down.

    Baz

They sound reasonable then compared to wasps, If they keep the wasps down, all the better.
I once bought an MGB to refurbish, started stripping the interior, carpets etc. out and (this was November/December time) found at least one bl**dy big wasp hibernating behind every bit of carpet, trim etc. I think the final tally was 38 of the things.

On the other subject; Beware Gentlemen, lest one day it be a filled f@rt…

Not sure I’d want to meet a peeved one. So they’re an annual visitor down your way then?
