Apologies, I was just referring back to an earlier bit of this thread from May 19 😮
What are you on about you lunatic?
 Read the big bold obvious bit at the top of the post, muppet! The words ‘Morse’ and ‘Key’ appearing together are a bit of a giveaway.
Consider yourself Facepalmed.;)
Rich knew… 🙂
Morse key
Guess what essential hi-tech piece of equipment is the first thing I’ll be checking is still present when I finally get a look in ours?! :diablo:
I can confirm… IT’S STILL THERE 😀
A touch of sunburn…
A touch of sunburn…
It flew on the Saturday in 2008. 😉
I know. I went on the Sunday 🙁
My God multi-facepalm bonus Herr Doktor. And it’s well deserved too :(:(:(
Ben do you have a quadruple facepalm? That’s just incompetence verging on vandalism 🙁
Unlucky stacey, at least you found the problem though. Hopefully…
If everything goes ok will be heading down next weekend to see your toys out of the cupboard 🙂
Some pics from today, off the camera phone so apologies for the quality. Or lack of… One outside shot and various in-cockpit powered up ones of the AEO panel, engine instruments (showing life! :)) co-pilot’s panel, and the view of the ‘Rod through the screen.
:DGood that another one seems saved
Evening, seeing as Sven couldn’t come out to play today I thought I’d chuck a quick report of today’s occurrences at YAM on here, in case anyone’s remotely interested in what chaos, corruption and disorder we’ve been causing today.
Firstly, the Nimrod appears to have some new friends, in the form of a gaggle of volunteering-types which came to see her, and to see about keeping her in fine fettle in the long term. Rumours of drag races on the runway between two large hemp (NOT pink :diablo:) coloured jets in the near future are unfounded! 😀
The Victor was like a cooker today- if you were out on top you got grilled, in the cockpit or the back hatch you baked. We should hire out the back hatch area to persons of a portly nature looking to lose weight- 10 minutes in there and they’d be much thinner!
We got power on and the engines were turned over, I had the best seat in the house for this, the co-pilot’s (Thanks Ollie! :D). Previously Rich and I had played the ‘Scramble down the intakes to check for FOD’ game, ooh such fun that was(nt).
Unfortunately Lindy seems to have taken umbrage with the fact that a few of us have been casting eyes towards the Nimrod recently, and chucked an electrical fault at us as well as her dummy. One for the list then…
The RAT scoop is back on!!!! Myself, Ollie and Rich raced against time (and sunstroke!) but got the barsteward on. Finally 😀
Altogether a reasonably successful day, during which I think we emptied the NAAFI’s supply of bottled water. I’ll chuck some inside shots of the Victor powered up on here later. Right now, the pub calls… 🙂
The waddington website lists it as provisionally booked. 3rd time lucky eh chaps?
Still plodding a bit here- and it’s not my machine, rest of t’interweb’s fine
Yep same here. Keeps not wanting to load.
I’m really sorry to hear that BSG. 🙁
Ben, she’s just looking for someone to blame. The female can never, ever be at fault. 🙁
