    I was writing back to what WP 840 was saying bazv, at the same time as you by the look of it! But your comments are quite spot on. And I bet the 35 mph driver was methuselah’s older brother/sister, and was driving a Micra… 😉

    I see the same thing all the time. I guess their age, ‘experience’ and big fast modern car gives them a false sense of security…

    Parked at washington for the evening, just wandered across to the pub placed conveniently behind the services. It appears despite what Scott alleges about the local’s navigation abilities, they have no problems finding their way to the bar… :diablo:

    Jack Currie has escaped me..how? If you are recommending them I guess they are good reads.

    They are indeed. If you struggle for copies let me know. A purveyor of ‘previously enjoyed’ books near me had both last time I was there, for not very much pennies…

    Think I’d have to opt for two favourites already mentioned by Right Honourable Gentlemen on this thread-

    Len Deighton-for ‘Bomber’

    Jack Currie-for ‘Lancaster Target and ‘Mosquito Victory’

    Is that greedy?:o

    “We’re all in the wrong jobs!”

    Not me mate, because;

    1) I have a conscience

    2) I can sleep soundly at night

    Hence I’m no solicitor!;):diablo:
