    That is definitely the Lincoln coat of arms found on Waddington Wing aircraft. probably a legacy of fleet transfers between Waddo and Scampton?

    Big mopars? Nice! If my Dad saw me writing that though he’d disown me, as he’s a Chevy man, Camaro fan through and through…

    Guess it’s like anything though, depends how hard you press the loud pedal as to how thrifty is is. 6Ltr V12 Jag TWR XJS, when booted severely, would show 0 MPG current consumption on it’s little green 80’s LCD computer screen! But tickled gently, 20’s were possible.

    Think Nashio966 might get upset at us for hijacking his thread now… 😮

    Sounds like the Lincoln shield all Waddington-based aircraft (up to present day) get to display- The AWACS etc. have it on the nose IIRC, Vulcans had it on the fin.
    You should be able to make it out on this shot I took of 558
