    If anyone else suggested it, I’d chuckle heartily.

    Problem is, I know you WOULD build it, you scary bloody Jock! 😀

    THe pulse jet is built , I have one finished and all I need for the other is a set of etched petal valves to go , I built them 2-3 years ago . What about welding the front frame and forks of a pushbike on to a shopping trolley , stick the gas in the trolley ( instant seat ) and bolt the pulse jet under it ?? , could be on to a winner here lads , wish the weather would clear up !!

    Perhaps you can get East Fortune interested in live firing demonstrations of a replica V1. 😮
    mmitch.

    Need to build a body to hold the propane tank and all the other gubbins ( and 2 small wings ) could be done very easily , anybody volunteering to help .

    Nahhhh , too boring , I built a pulsejet , when it fires up the noise makes you physically sick – unbelieveably noisy and fearsome looking , I’ll bring one to the next Scottish Forum meet. :dev2:

    [QUOTE=Robert Whitton]
    Anyway East Fortune is still a good place to visit no matter how much I moan about recent Concordeitis. I fly nearby every couple weeks as I attempt to learn to fly in my little red microlight and have being visiting since APSS started in 1971 Have seen great progress at times.

    Hi Robert , I flew from EF between 1990-94 , before there were any hangars , all we had was the “Bubble” hangar and an old static caravan as a cafe ! . I flew with George Brunton in a Mainair Gemini Flash 2 ( was G-MNUZ – cancelled now ) . I will start with Gordon this year sometime so hopefully I’ll meet you for a cuppa tea , tell Gordon I was asking for him and I will be back soon . Thanks

    But it was a man who was dumb enough to use that dinky tow truck and got himself dragged in. 😉

    He would have been ok – but the idiot did not put the legs down on the recovery truck , so he starts the lift , the lorry’s pivots near the front and flipped over . This is an old story , the Peugeot was blown into the harbour ( handbrake wasn’t on ) – and there is another variation where the green recovery truck flips into the water too – a very poor photoshop !!!.

    With a large area you can’t cover it all, there was apparently someone there when the caravan was pinched. Obviously there is more of a watch over the aircraft than the runway.

    In my usual spirit of forgiveness and reconciliation, I would like to get hold of the little, er, devils, and hold them upside down to beat the lumps out with their heads in the manner of those old tamping sticks they use on tarmac.

    If they catch the wee scumbags drop me a mail . Get me the address , I’ve always wanted to visit Popham anyway . 🙂

    Good luck Stewart. Remind us nearer the time, and I’m sure there will be a few on here who can regale you with some amusing anecdotes of when they did OASC. Won’t there, Mister George…? 😉

    Wasn’t me guv :dev2: , all I did was drink beers and brandy while playing Afterburner . I think I was one of the last to go through Biggin Hill before the OASC went to Cranwell . Have you still got your squad photo Steve ?? , post yours and I may be tempted to post mine , I was B3 , seems like a lifetime ago , my mate flew Wokkas from Odiham and he is out already !!

    Help !! , I suspect there may be a couple of Jag employees on this Forum , I own a 4.0lt XJ40 , I’m trying to track down a bit of trim for the boot lid . If you open the boot – at eyelevel there is the trigger for opening the boot and a long thin metal trim ( with a chrome edge ) it has 3 holes , one for the boot trigger and 2 openings for the number plate lights . Anybody got any leads on a new one ??? .

    Al 🙂
