I can see both sides of the argument.

Where ? I can’t , people we owe a great debt to being asked to pay cash to see a show which is in their honour . 🙁
We did have a chap on the Forum recently who claimed to have helped Douglas Bader strap his new legs on in the Stork Hotel in Liverpool , funny thing was though – W/C D Bader was in Colditz at the time . Does this count ?? 🙁
Looks like the result of a B17 mating with a B25 , not a bad looking mongrel though !!!!!
Yep! I can remember the same relentless propaganda from Boeing Co. at the time of the creation of the 747 assembly plant. “Largest single roofspan” “Clearance of entire hillside and forest in days of endless rain etc, etc” I have a Boeing video which manages to fill 55 mins on this sole topic, again just a “warehouse” They all do it!
I have the same video , nice big warehouse then the folk who built the first 747 were called “THE INCREDIBLES ” , nice PR propaganda.
Richard!
Please read my post again, carefully.
Consider the possible use of irony within it.
Then consider if you wish to edit your post before others read it 🙂

I fear Roberts Magnetic Chip detectors did not pick up the large dose of Irony your post emitted – visions of the next flight staring at the Garmin 90% of the time !!!! 😮
Welcome to the Forum Chuck 🙂

Just a quick question….that pic of the Me-163 Komet, what’s the engine in the foreground ?
It’s one of the Jumo engines removed from Rudolf Hess’ Bf110 when he “defected”

I might just turn up , I only live 10mins away in Armadale , where are you meeting – over at the crash gate on the North Side ??
Very good post , just shows how the Forum has changed already . Martin all I can say is – do what you feel most comfortable doing , if you have issues in your life right now – sort them out and go back flying without any nagging doubts in your head . I’m sure you’ll make to proper decision – and do it for your own reason not for any other reason. 😉
Nice post WD , very eloquent 😉 . There must be a few pilots out there who are rather envious . I’ve flown Micros ( weightshifts ) since 1990 and I would swap you any day !!!
