    Yuk!!

I think that it would be best to restore the “pile of bits” as a Lincoln, as it’s FAR rarer…

    😀

Good point , here’s a nice line up -Lanc , York , Linc and Shack !!

Imagine what the crew at Elvington would be able to do with the pile of Linc/Lanc bits that are lying around ?? , a Lanc and a Halibag in the same hangar – that would be worth seeing.

There are (or were in 1991) clearly large sections of the Lincoln extant, and they were of an identifiable airframe. If the Lincoln with Shackleton wings would be fake, then so’s PA474 as it has York wings 😉

I think peoples issue with the Halifax is that it has things like a wooden framed nose, a wooden tailplane, fibreglass props, mocked up undercarriage and so on.

Fair point , I was really just trying to see if any of the critics of the Halifax would take the bait 😀 😀

When did the Lincoln get dissembled? Did the wings survive or was it only the fuselage that was kept?

I think the whole Lincoln was lying behind the Aces High Hangar in bits , anybody have any photo’s??

To some on this Forum that would make it a fake aeroplane same as the Elvington Halifax 🙁 🙁 Sounds fine to me though , better that than a pile of mouldering scrap:) 🙂

Only problem we have now in Scotland is the Shellsuit gang wandering around in vest – tops , not especially nice when Parkhead residents actually turn pale blue in the sun 😀

North Berwick today it hit 84F , my wife and kids are over there with MY Seadoo and I’m stuck in the office 😡 😡
