That is very sad, condolances to the families of the lost.

High time someone pays attention to the aviation safety standards in Africa.

I am not a regular on the forum anymore, but ill voice my opinion anyway.

I bought most AW issues in Australia although steaply priced, while i also tried other magazines as well such as Aviation Australia.

Somethings are long over-due in AW in my opinion. The cover style needs a face-lift, its the same i have seen since 1998. Photographic styles can be changed, even the heading fonts can be changed. I have not seen the changes inside the magazine yet, but i strongly believe a face lift of the cover will help AW attain a fresh feel.

About the news section as Tony mentioned, you cannot possibly try to compare the pace between AW and the net. Again, people are right that they won’t buy the magazine even if it boasts of an extensive news section. hence, the quality and most importantly the appeal of the features has to be AW’s trump card. Features about rarely heard airlines, airlines from smaller countries and people who are behind the airlines. Possibly a head-to-head section will be interesting, profiling the head honchos of the industry.

Just my 2 cents worth. 🙂

Initially, Air India are dry leasing three A.310’s and one 747. On an associated topic, EADS are discussing with Jupiter Aviation the possibility of opening a freighter conversion facility in India.

along with Jupiter Aviation, Taneja Aerospace is also a contender.

brint_it_on are you referring to Blue Dart by any chance?

A new scheme for Air India has always been a problem. They introduced a new livery in the 90’s (designed by Landor if my memory serves me correctly), but there was public uproar in India because the Window Palace’s had disappeared, so this new livery goes some way to dealing with the issue. Here is the last attempt at a rebrand..

yes and the uproad was absolutely justified, as if Air India does not have a bad enough reputation than to add a worst livery to that.

If you are refering to the livery in the ad.. it is already in use with AI’s loco arm Air India Express.

As for the new livery… i like it, very Indian. I am also glad they kept the window design.
