kingfisher has 5 more years left before it can go international and as a matter off fact they will also get their a380 deliveries aftre that time..and dont expect them to fly from india with those a380’s during the begining….V mallya is an extremely intelligent man.

Valid point…but still starting operations with A380s??? Kingfisher still needs to prove its worth in the domestic sector before taking majour steps.

For one thing work has become on Mumbai airport to accomodate the A380, and the there is enough space on both Delhi and Mumbai terminal gates to accomodate the A380 length and bredth wise. All 5 majour cities in India that is Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Calcutta and Bangalore have runways that can accomodate the A380 easily.

I was thinking the same thing, but perhaps Kingfisher has been given assurances from the Indian government that by the time the aircraft are delivered they will have international clearance. :confused:

i dont think so, according to current Indian CAP no airline can fly international without a domestic experience of around 6-7 years.

India seems to be on a roll! Kingfisher A380….. absolutely absurd to me since they cannot fly international yet. A380 on domestic route???

If only Air India could take notice… 😉

They went for what will suit them politically the most now and in the future. 😀

I can’t see why we shouldn’t discuss A vs B. We will get into that subject sooner or later anyway, especially since each and every construction these two companies brings up are meant to compete with each other.

What I do find disturbing is when these discussions gets into a rant mode. There are far too many threads with just a news snippet being used as an excuse to write a couple of lines ranting on x or y. This I would say, must come to an end.

But that does not mean forbidding serious discussions with constructive arguments. There are many pro-Boeing and pro-Airbus guys at this forum capable of having such discussions, so don’t let the naive fanboys dictate the rules.
