For me I guess its a toss up between Interflug and CAAK (now Air Koryo).
Interflug was an IL18 from LGW to TIA, should have been a TU-134 which it was on the return but I wasn’t complaining! The CAAK trips were PEK-FNJ-PEK, TU134 outbound and IL62M on return. I guess Interflug wins because it can’t be done anymore!
By the way Hand I remember Point Air very well as we used to do crew handling for them at STN when they used to send their ex Pan Am 707 in on maintenance, the 707 later carried the titles Point Air Mulhouse..They were nice crews, never saw the DC8 though.

If Aeroflot was in Star, I would have gone out of my way to have flown them already.

quite agreed…i think Aeroflot is making a fair bit of effort to improve, but i have no idea if they are succeding on it or not.

Which administration does not cover mistakes Andy?? The people in this industry are not fools, if they would have thought theres something wrong with the buses or the company is trying to hide serious glitches why would so many airlines go for AI products?

The 738s will fit the need perfectly for AI….. if they would have taken the buses i would have quite avoided the airline. 😀

i consider these as just simple accidents or glitches…i dont think you can say “i dont trust the French” on this. Its totaly unfair and biased.

In Oz…although Steve would be the right person to answer but i think for surfing and travel Gold Coast in Queensland is awesome. For cultural experiences nothing beats Melbourne, for peace and quiet Adelaide is pretty good. I dont remember Sydney so well but it is one hell of a lively place.

I can understand the idea of having a low fare no frills airline within India itself and maybe within the immediate Countries of Pakistan, Sri Lanka and such. But going to South East Asia and Middle East is a bit far isnt it?? I mean most low fare airlines are strictly regional arent they?

well lets just say AI is breaking the barriers in that case. 😉
