well they can give there a/c back to there lessor anytime they want by paying the amount of number of flying hours.

It mainly depends how big and heavy the a/c is…small a/c like the Twin Otter etc, can manage to land on water safely. But big a/c specially jet ones is all luck. If you remember the Ethopian B767 which ditched in the sea…..the a/c while attempting landing on water was actually a little under 200 kts so as two minimize damage. But the a/c was a little tilted and this little tild led to more moisture in one wing than the other…which resulted in total loss of control when it hit the water killing most on board! So moisture in wings is also a big factor.

I think if Russia makes good a/c like the TU 204, it will benifit them greatly specially for the third world countries as it would be cheap and will have western avionics and maybe engines which most countries prefer. Engnes is another negetive part of Russian aviation. Even the latest Russian engines which are installed in the IL 62 are so noisy!
