Kev,
If you were actually there you would of noticed that there was equiptment below their feet as i wasnt the official photogrpaher there, if i had known you had a foot fettish then i would of maybe included the feet.

Thanks for the concern. My real ‘fettish’ is for correct spelling (FETISH) and grammar. ‘Would of’ really means nothing does it? It might be presumptious of me but I expect that you mean would have.

And by the way, if you look closely you will realise the bird’s head is behind the book cover.

He says he had the camera recording for half an hour. My understanding is he caught it by accident.

“i filmed about 30 mins of it, and when i looked at the film on the pc later on, i found this. this is just a frame from the film, sorry about the quality. is a trick of the camera, or is this realy possible – red lightning – is it lightning?”

He didn’t even know he’d taken it. He hasn’t once suggested that he pinointed ‘a bolt and then got a central video shot.’ If you read he’s not even sure whether it’s lightning.

Now, unless you have any good reason for doubting his word, why don’t you let it go?

BTW, you have some nice shots in your album, but some of your wedding guests appear to have lost their feet?

In the grand scheme of things does it really matter?

1) He’s advertising your site.

2) He appears to be making no claim whatsoever that the site is his.

3) Don’t you want your site to attract more attention? It’s not like he’s bringing it into any kind of disrepute after all.

4) Both definitions of homepage appear to be acceptable.

There’s no harm done at all as far as I can see. It would be different if he was portraying the sight as his own. When I connect to the internet the page displayed is the blueyonder homepage (that IS what it is called). I have no problem with that. I don’t understand why the owner of Jethro’s has.

Coanda.

That’s actually a trick of the light. The sun is the opposite side of the aircraft and the light illuminates the inboard aspects of the nacelles reflecting light back onto the fuselage and onto the outer aspect of the port inboard nacelle. Note how the outside of the port outer is darker?

Forgot to mention. The language and stle used by one controller was very different to the norm. As an aircraft was flying from Honiley they asked if there were any ATC speed restrictions. This is the answer they got….

‘No speed restrictions, you can fly as fast as you like…….. I’ll bring you thundering over the airfield then a turn to bring you on to a six mile final.’

The crew acknowledged the transmission but said they might need a bit longer than six miles for a high speed approach.

Three on the ground. The Lufthansa shot is very poor but can anyone tell me what the lights are beneath the nose? I’ve never seen them before and I have taken literally hundreds of shots of aircraft in that position.

I think that’s the lot for this time.

Thank you for the kind comments.

BHX Local.

For these I was at the far end of long stay 1. The courtesy bus takes you up to long stay 1 so get off at bus stop 6. I usually park my car a few rows further back alongside the armco barrier. Gives you a nice view of 15 departures and 33 arrivals. For the spotters you can easily read the registrations if both inbound and outbound aircraft from there, often without binoculars. Anyone staying there for any length of time be advised it’s one hell of a trek should you have to answer a call of nature!

Next…. a batch of Boeings.

Which farm gate were you in? And do you ever get moved on?

Judging by the light, the Lufthansa would be in between 21:00 and 21:30?

Very nice. Is the swedish registered ERJ one of the ex Crossair aircraft? looks like the white patches would fit where their logo would have been.

Particularly like the atlantique ATR. Presumably the pub again?
