According to BCL for 1944 you have four possible victims. Two from 44 Sqdn., one from 49 and one from 106. From your description it seems this is the most likely.
Lancaster I LL975 ZN-H 106 Squadron.
The aircraft was tasked to bomb a V1 launch site (No-Ball?) and took off from Metheringham at 22’25.
Crew were….
P/O S M Wright RAAF
Sgt. W S McPhail (evaded)
F/Sgt. H McP Smith
Sgt. W R Knaggs (evaded)
F/Sgt. L J McGregor RAAF
Sgt. A T Clarke
F/Sgt. W Beutel RAAF
Those who died are interred in the cemetery extension at St Sever, Rouen.
Hope this helps.

“As far as paying for customer support, I suggest you contact your company, in the US, calls are free, how pathetic it is in the UK.”
Yes, it is pathetic. Pathetic that this Country ever tried to educate you. Or was it in fact you who educated the LSE?
“Also I am sorry kev but you again have generalized as all call centres not being as good as the ones in the UK based on your own experience and the ones of others, reality is that its not the case, they are as good, some are worse, some are getting better, a normal distribution. Only idiots generalize, I won’t bother debating with them.”
Arrogant prig! I have said that in my experience Asian call centres have been a problem. Generalise, as you will know having been educated in the UK, is spelt with an ‘s’. It is you who makes the sweeping generalisations and you have proved with your unparalleled arrogance and pomposity that it is you who is incapable of debate.
“But if you really want these jobs back then try to convince the MAJORITY OF YOUR POPULATION to pay 3 times the amount for a product because now it is being manufactured in the UK, well done genious. It seems that as outsourcing is accelerating and since companies max profits based on customer demand, people seem to care more about prices and outsourcing will continue, the few bitter arts students around here will complain and make non sensicle generalizations and then get personal and talk about your degree, let them be, from the sarcastic biased moderator to the so called knowledgable students of economics who seem to have no clue as to what comparative advantage means to the ones who tend to generalize as usual, by that logic based on what Ihave seen in England, all English people are drunks because I wet to 4 pubs and all they did was get drunk and puke on others! but my level of education permits me to be a bit more advanced than the lads over here. Its just simple, the world is competitive now, if you can’t comete you loose but don’t be a sore and bitter lad about it.”
Oh dear, the agonised rantings of a troll. Goodbye Sameer, next time you go out mind you don’t get your head stuck in the door.

Grey Area.
Keep oput of this!
It’s time Sandy and I had a duel.
Seems like handbags are the weapons of choice.
Dawn tomorrow Sandy? You’re up in that foreign Country that Hadrian tried to blockade and I’m down in the civilised Midlands. I suggest MAN as the venue.
So, AVP it is then at 0630 tomorrow. (Bring sandwiches and a camera) 😉
Grey Area can referee.
PS Perhaps we could sell the television rights? I’ll split the cash with you. You’ll need some to buy a new handbag…… 😉

Ask my fan club over on GD. They love me 😮
Moggy
You wanted cheerleaders……
Be careful what you wish for, no?
On a serious note, the book ‘To Live Among Heroes’ by George ‘Doc’ Bell is fascinating reading and was picked up for half price at the last Shuttleworth Sunset display.

But would you agree its not fair to lay the blame on Onur now, atleast not at this stage?
You’re doing it again!
It could be any number of things but you want to directly blame the airline. Being creative as you are and knowing your penchant for Boeing, I thought you might have blamed Airbus Industrie by now. You never normally pass up a chance to have a dig.
Let the investigators investigate. with all due respect, they are far more knowledgable than you or I so I don’t understand this constant desire to apportion blame without being party to the facts.
Unless, of course, they have sought your opinion? In which case I stand corrected.

Calls are generally charged at a standard rate. I know this, it is I who pays the phone bill. It takes five minutes max at this set rate to sort out the problem in the UK. It takes a lot longer when the person on the other end of the phone …
a) Cannot understand you.
b) You cannot understand them.
c) They are unable to respond appropriately to your call because they do not have the training/necessary information/access to screens/ or, and most importantly, the initiative to act on their own, just a blind obedience to a set procedure.
That is where your talk of economics is crap. It might be good on a global scale but it is not good for the consumer who pays more than before to sort out problems because of this increasing menace of offshore call centres. It might be good business for the company but it is wholly at the expense of the consumer.
Shows by your comment about being educated at LSE that your own nation therefore has not the ability to educate you to the standard required? Try putting your own house in order before making comments about anyone else’s.
Smart a*se comments like those you are currently making will do little to endear your views to anyone.

I wish Martin well.
However, one cannot deny that this kind of will it won’t it yes it will but not just yet and sorry but I can’t tell you when kind of saga is not going to instil confidence in the market. I am sure Martin knows this only too well. I hope he proves the doubters wrong, but as yet, and sad as I am to say it, he has not proved anything.

[QUOTE=Sameer]Before i make my leave
“if they can’t be fixed then companies will relocate elsewhere, in the long term, say in 4-5 years, you will not have the problem, the problem is that you also have to understand that if you wish to keep your phone bill low then it is in your interest for these jobs to be in India,”
And therein lies your lack of understanding od Britain, and, dare I say it, economics? I telephone the company in England and the problem is understood and almost always resolved within a few minutes. I speak to someone in a call centre in India and it takes at least five minutes for them to confirm my name, address and account numbers. That is before I even begin to relate the nature of the problem. Consequently my phone bill is higher, not lower. Never mind though, someone in India is earning a living, and I’m doing my bit for the global economy. I would imagine the phone company are quite happy too.
