It’s a nice try but the camouflage doesn’t really work does it?

But, do they really need their names on the aircraft? all of us seem to know that a sickly blue fuselage with the front cover of a sci-fi novel stuck to it =TITAN.

Sorry Robert. I suspect most people, like myself, have seen them before.

No. The rumour was that the flight would be operated for four days by EC-IPN of Air Plus Comet. Nothing on the first day but BDXG turned up at least twice. 747’s of any hue are a rarity and usually only turn up as the result of a diversion. OIA used to use them but it’s all A310’s for them now.

Some kind of chater to and from Nairobi. Landed on 33, turned off the runway and onto the outer taxiway in front of the terminal. They normally stop there and shut down their engines before being towed to stand. This one, G-BDXG didn’t. He carried on along the outer taxiway, through the Echo 1 hold and back down 33 before turning off to the left and Parking outside the maintenance area.

Maybe not calling admission paying members of the public ‘general monkeys’ would be a good start? Without their money I think Legends would turn out to be a very short show. I’m not complaining about the length of the show. The pace is fast, yes, but the point I was trying to make was that I was overwhelmed by the whole show. I could have watched another three hours without any complaint. I can’t complain about my Legends experience, none of it. Except maybe the part where my wheelchair reached an incredible speed due to Snapper’s more than enthusiastic er… driving.

Last year was my first Legends. Many said it did not reach the standards of previous years. There was a lot of comment about what did and didn’t appear and even more about what appeared one day and not the next. There was also tragedy. I was not there to see it and thought long and hard about whether I would actually go on the sunday. But I went…

I saw nine Spitfires in the air at once and the implication of what that sight meant to our not too distant history brought tears to my eyes. I saw no boring tailchases, just dedicated pilots and their ground staff giving wings to my dreams. The Hurricane didn’t fly, nor the Lavochkin, maybe other items that were expected weren’t there. It did not and does not matter to me. I saw two Ju52’s in the air at once. I did the flightline walk (wheel?), I was in great company, Moggy, Lofty, Ashley, Snapper and Mr. and Mrs. Dezz and anyone else I met up with that day who I have forgotten to mention. I have one complaint, those three hours just went by far too quickly. Roll on this years, and I hope I will have no complaints, just be grateful for what I am priveleged to see and not bemoan what I can’t.

This is just a general stroll around the museum. The restoration centre is only open to prebooked visits on a friday afternoon. I’m going to see about one of those tours for April. But they do have to be booked. I’ll start another thread on that some other time.

In the meantime you are welcome to join us on the 13th.

    Moggy.

Have you thought of flying into the Wolverhampton Intergalactic Business Spaceport (aka Ha’penny Green)? If so I would be happy to collect you and take you on to Cosford. Might even consider taking you back too 😉

Ah, a forum meet I don’t have to get up early for.

But I do want to live in a calm and safe area not one run by a load of mad thugs.

That is exactly what Hand is trying so hard to tell you. That’s what the Germans wanted, but they got so much more. Are you seriously trying to tell me you would vote for a political party which denies that the Holocaust ever took place? Did you read Steve Touchdown’s post about Nick Griffin?

“Their is a whole load of differnce between BNP and Hitlers lot.”

Are you sure about that? the BNP are at present amateurish by comparison but if people like you give them the opportunity to grow….

“Its not like I want concentration camps and people to be shot just for dropping litter etc”

Neither did the Germans, but look what happened there. Jews, Gypsies, people with any kind of disability or infirmity (that’s me and you gone then) untermenschen of any description, the list goes on. And the BNP dare to suggest that none of this ever happened. Do you feel the same? Because if you don’t the BNP wouldn’t want you.

Vote for who you wish, just think about what you might be letting us all in for if the BNP ever do rise to power.
