The first was a Buzz aircraft. Note the one on its landing roll with airbrakes deployed.

At BHX I suppose the most unusual regular is a Turkmenistan 757. Most unusual for me lately was a CASA CN235 of the Irish Air Corps.

If we can include sights we saw on the MAN meet it would have to be…… Fizz’s Grandma. 😀

    I’ve changed my mind.

    1. is a Delta 767/777

    3. is a BA747

    4. is still definitely an aeroplane.

    yak139.

Excellent work too. My prime aim would be to record their reminiscences, to ensure the memory of what they achieved is perpetuated. A happy side effect of all this would be to reunite them with friends and colleagues they may not have seen for 60 years.

Ashley, I’m not immune to ‘me, me, me’, I would be part of the team.

No1. Well, it’s definitely an aeroplane.

    No2. Virgin A340?

    No3. Delta 747?

    No4. Another aeroplane.

Have you checked your sent messages? you have to delete those as well. I think the limit is 25 in the inbox and 25 in the outbox.

    Hope this helps,

I’d get a team together and arrange as many Squadron reunions as possible, get as many veterans together as possible, provide transport , the works. Let them know we appreciate their efforts and their sacrifice. While they’re all together and the reminiscences begin record as many of their stories as possible, before it’s too late.

Are KLM economising? That’s one hell of a glider! Curiously enough I see what Ren means about a whale.

I’ve a feeling it may be Cosford they are talking about. There is a plan to completely enclose the area between the top and bottom hangars, I think it was suggested that a lot of glass be used to allow in natural light? I know there was talk of the Vulcan, Victor and Valiant being reunited at cosford.

Just a thought, but perhaps those of us who can could post a photograph of something connected with the Battle of Britain. Maybe a gravestone, a Memorial, an archive picture, disused airfield, an aircraft, artefacts, log book entries…. you get the idea.

re: Ant’s suggestion. How about the theme from the Battle of Britain followed by ‘Hymn to the Fallen’, just to put it all into perspective.
