Whilst I was at Coventry yesterday I was moving from the bulding when a P-51 left heading south. Anyone have any idea which one it was and what it was doing there?

    PII.

I think the serial for the first is either 63 or 67-699. Perhaps you can tell us more? I think I was told once that it was an original Mig killer. The other a/c serial ends I think in 414. It appears to be a refugee from a battle damage repair unit as it is covered in patches. It’s been in a dismantled state for at least a couple of years.

    Whirlwind.

I think the Magic Army was written by Leslie Thomas. Another of his books, The Dearest and the Best is a good read.

    Wysiwyg.

Thanks for that. I hadn’t a clue what the blue finned aircraft was. It’s been a good number of years since I used to haunt airports. Could be persuaded to take it up again though.

    Greekdude.

So the airline name was originally spelled ‘Reeve Aleutian’? These three Electras carried the title ‘Reeve Illusion.@ I guess Atlantic have acquired them either to operate alongside their own Electras or as spares ships. Thanks for that.

Beautiful. A bit different to the rain at Coventry today.:( Still, the Vulcan makes a handy shelter.

Does anyone know anything about the Reeve Illusion aircraft? There were three there.

Here’s Coventry’s Seahawk looking a little damp. (Now we know where ‘white van man’ goes at the weekend.
