That, of course, is a BA 1-11 on the approach to Runway 33 at BHX. You used to be able to get right round to the back of the fuel farm, don’t know whether you still can.

I think that engine belongs to the TSR2. I didn’t go round that side as there were a couple of party’s of schoolkids and I didn’t fancy negotiating my way through them in my wheelchair. I didn’t realise but you certainly get a different perspective when your eye level is two feet lower than you’re used to.
I would imagine there is a fair chance that one may go to Cosford. I believe the airfield has quite a short runway and this may preclude the arrival of a Concorde by air? Perhaps one of our resident pilots might be able to tell whether or not a lightly loaded Concorde could get in safely.

Thanks for your help. Strangely i’ve found if I open an image in MGI Photosuite then reduce the size by just one pixel both length and heightwise, the amount of kilobytes taken by the imafe is almost halved, yet the size difference to the image is minimal.
You’re right. It is the nose section of a Trident 3B. But it has never flown. I can’t remember for sure but it’s either part of a simulator or procedural trainer.
