True, but you can’t help but notice its strategic proximity to that region. Perhaps, also in view of the US’s strengthening presence in the former Russian states has caused a shift in resources as well.
Looks very similar to the MP-5.
Is it reflecting a change in attitude towards India perhaps, that India (in view of its modernization) needs to be considered in addition to TW?

Correct me if I’m wrong, but is it surprising that the Lanshou MR should receive J-11s? Isn’t it one of the more neglected MRs in terms of hardware? It seems that this modernization is extending to all the MRs, not just the ones close to Taiwan.
I was thinking perhaps he was trying to save the plane and forgot? to eject, or the midst of trying to save the plane, ejected at unsafe conditions.
He didn’t try to eject?
Oh, a question for you on your board ht. Is the YJ-63 a SSM, or ALCM to be launched from an H-6X craft? Is it too large for JH-7 carriage? Or, is ti exclusively for the JH-7A?
wow- you sure updated your webpage quickly ht.
Thanks; I’ve not seen that tiger patch before.
Woops, maybe you didn’t see this posted below, but which regiment does this ‘flying tiger’ of J-11s belong to?
There’s been a new generation of flares that are being developed I believe. (see latest issue of AW&ST). Not only will they not cause a forest fire and **** off Smokey the Bear, they do not emit in the visible spectrum and are thus invisible to the naked eye, yet are supposedly more effective than current flares.
iterian? I think you mean eritrean.
So is the NOTAR quieter and more maintenance-free (one less rotor) than conventional craft?
