    The Husky on amphibs belongs to Pete Kynsey and Anna Walker. I believe they use it to give dual floatplane instruction in.

    So what’s happened to the Tiger Moth David? I spent some time with the two nominated Historic Flight pilots (both graduates of the Indian AF Test Pilots School) earlier this year, when they were over in the UK to undertake tailwheel training.

    I saw the Merizan project (PZ474) a while back at Chino. I believe it went to NZ to be rebuilt for Rod Lewis.

    Not really. In the US old aircraft are regularly flown from coast to coast, and that’s the best part of 3,000 miles in some cases. Friends of mine regularly fly open-cockpit single-engined biplanes from one coast to another. Forum member Baldeagle took a Jungmann from San Diego to the east coast only last week.

    Sadly just one built.

    There were more than that built. One still flies out of Paso Robles, and Greg Herrick has a project which led to legal action to have the drawings released, as the manufacturer’s successor was still claiming that they were a ‘trade secret’, some 75 years after the aircraft was built!

    This year it has recently pulled a no-show at events I’ve been at due to fuel mysteriously falling out, partial nosegear failure and weather (in spite of all the fuss made last year about it being cleared to fly in IMC). So from my point of view it has been about as reliable as a chocolate teapot.

    Noticed that a certain Hurricane project on a UK-website was not included in the book. So not listed as a full project but more
    as an assortment of spare parts, including a centre section?

    Would you care to translate that so that the rest of us know what you are referring to please? I have the book, and still have no idea which ‘certain’ aircraft you are talking about. Thanks

    Apparently they are planning a special final flight over Sheffield, armed with live bombs to raze the city to the ground, as ‘they’ hate it so much.
