I think it is a good move. It speeds entry (and therefore eases the traffic flow), prevents the ridiculous overcrowding experienced at some Duxford shows where the gates have to be closed and the surrounding roads are still clogged with people trying to get in, and in general allows the organisers to control the size of the crowd. It also removes the risks to the organisers associated with weather. It is just the same arrangement as many large events (concerts, sporting events, etc) have operated on for years.

The airframe restoration has been on hold for the best part of a decade now

With the news that Midair Squadron have abandoned attempts to get their aircraft flying for 2015, I wonder when (or if) we’ll ever see a Canberra in the air again. 🙁

My guess would be that it headed straight back home to Humberside

The last news I heard was that the restoration had been abandoned and they had decided to reassemble the aircraft for static display and push it outside. 🙁

It is currently unserviceable

I’m also unsure why Keefy041 singled out the music for criticism, I can’t recall any other than the rather odd version of Bolero played during Anna Walker’s aerobatic slot and the short James Horner piece at the end.
