    Yes you can, I just did a couple of days ago. Download the free app in iTunes, then you can purchase individual issues going back about 4 years or so for $5.99 per issue

    None of the HHA CAA-registered jets are currently operational. The currently operational ones are both under COMA regulations.

    And dont forget the good old CAA!

    HHA operate their Hunters on government contracts under COMA (Civil Owned Military Aircraft) regulations, so the CAA are not directly involved.

    Not really, although I suppose it makes a good story. The F-14s privately owned by Yanks Air Museum and Planes of Fame at Chino were seized and destroyed. No accusation was made of ‘trying to sell it to Iran’.

    A couple of years ago, the last Catalina fire Bomber was still working in the Pacific North West, I’m not sure whether it is still operational or not. The Mars are, for all intents and purposes, retired now I believe.

    Several Tiger Moths still earning their living training new taildragger pilots. Many others hauling rides.

    Elliott’s list pretty much sums it up for me, I’d just add the sight (and sound) of a pair of RAF-engined BE2es in the sky above Stow Maries for the first time in almost a century.

    Maybe I’m being dense here, but what specifically is this petition asking the government to do? It seems that the decision has already been made by the RAF to dispose of the site, future plans to ensure it remains open and accessible are being made, there is still well over a year to go, and there appears to be no imminent threat of closure.

    Also, whatever became of the Mosquito mounted against the wall with the right wing missing?

    The Mosquito was traded to TFC for a Hurricane project about 25 years ago. It has since been sold on, and is currently being rebuilt to fly in New Zealand for Paul Allen.
