I knew I had some picts of ‘Puff the magic Dragon’ somewhere – just had to locate them. These show the dismantling after the accident. I’m not sure who the photographer was – they came to me from the late Capt Mike Russell – he may well have taken them!

Dont forget that Brookland’s also owned at least one DH89 Rapide!

Our G-AHJO/NR747 belonged to them at one time!

Hotel Oscar in its original Brooklands Colours – we restored it, and put it in Kings Flight colours with permission of HRH etc. We sold it to Proteus Aviation who put it in Brookland colours, who then crashed it!

Not wishing to create thread drift – but something ‘odd’ is happening with Amazon and some others. There are numerous sites offering ‘free pdfs’ of various books with blatantly wrong page counts, including my own Concorde Conspiracy, The Battle For American Skies – that only came out last week – but these are dated much earlier – in this case, January 12th. Now wether they are fake ‘phishing sites’, or what, I dont know.

I would advise caution in using them

1998 was the (equally lovely) MATS Connie that had come over from the States for the Berlin Airlift 50th celebrations. It operated from Cranfield, where the PFA Rally was being held, over the weekend IIRC.

yep…. we also arranged for Vern and Frank to do a fly-by at Old Warden on their way back from Dux… seeing a Connie low-level there was amazing!

Wasn’t Vespa and Lambretta scooter engines originally designed as APU for some Italian aircraft?

Some of you may know who I am, some may not.

The Earhart saga has occupied my life for eighteen years. I am a genuine person who has been with aircraft now for 56 years, starting with an Aircraft Apprenticeship in a well known Service establishment in the United Kingdom.

I along with my team do put boots on the ground and with good evidence to do so. We will continue to do that.

That is all I have to say.
    RPM

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – I find it hard to take the above statements seriously – or even with any degree of credibility regarding supposed self-stated ‘qualifications’ – when forum members continue to insist on ‘hiding’ behind nicknames and/or psudonyms.

Now, on the other hand, if you actually TOLD us who you were….

I now await to be flamed again!
