Is the Kermit Weeks Tempest a flier? If not, does it have the potential?

Also, does anyone on the forum have an update on the Tempest Two restoration to fly project (G-TEMT)?

I regularly check the excellent Tempest Homepage for updates (http://user.tninet.se/~ytm843e/tempest.htm) but I’m impatient to know the latest.

For what its worth, I too am a FoD and I was told last w/e by the nice chap at the Friends desk that my 20% discount for Legends 2004 would only apply if I booked in advance.

(At least this explains why my Google search for B29 Snow Goose some time ago drew a blank.)

Then of course there’s that dreadful (Content – not production) programme of the B29 they rebuilt on the ice then burned due to an electrical fault before it could take off.

IIRC the B29 was called “Snow Goose” and one of the team involved in the restoration died during the recovery attempt (not as a result of the fire). Terribly sad. 🙁

BBCi Report on HFL Spitfires for sale

The BBCi report suggests quite a significant difference in the price at which the versions are being offered for sale. Wonder how much they got for the Mk IX?
