Of course that the Czechs and the Slovaks have combat experience before WWII, and of cource some Czech pilot ace fought in Hasburk´s monarchy army (about 50 pilots) and in French (for example Augustín Charvát, Václav Pilát…), Italien army, even Czechoslovak Legion in Russia had own air force and planes. Czechoslovak Air force made a lot of missions during war against Hungarian bolshevik Republic of Soviets in 1919 and further missions and fights the Czech and Slovaks undertook against Hungarian Air Force in 1938 and 1939 over Slovak-Hungarian border and over the Ruthenian Ukraine that was part of Czechoslovakia between 1918 and 1938.
I am not talking about Czechoslovak squadrons in GB (Czechoslovak squadrons there were Czechoslovak Air Force in GB), 1st Czechoslovak Air Division in USSR (Czechoslovak Air Force in USSR), and a lot of pilots in Polish AF, French AF…
and note!!! Czechoslovak Air Force´s pilot have about ten victories over NATO air forces (mainly USA) over Czech-German border between 1951-1989 wihtout own loss!!!
