No chance Hurn! Just back home! Wish you could have seen my smile an hour ago!!:D:D:D:D I’ve waited a long time and have finally been rewarded! Fantastic! The only downside was that the heavens had opened earlier and by the time the beautiful beast arrived the beaches were rather denuded of people – it was still raining during the display and I watched from the shelter of a beachhut, but luckily the cloudbase was OK to the east with blue sky to the north and west.

I can still feel that “rumble” in the stomach!:D:D

What was the new venue like? previous years its been held at Cliftonville with margate sands as the new venue I could not help thinking it would have pushed the display line further out becuase of the pier and art gallery.

There is still a few more hurdles to jump, the biggest is the diverting of Eastwoodbury Lane its all down to the Sec of State, there is also the issue of the protest group appeal to the High Court over the JR.

One of the Southend MP’s actually took a pertition to the EU who are looking into it however they are a toothless tiger and have no say over UK planning laws.

Lets just hope the road is given the green light and a new era dawns for London Southend International Airport…
