Had the Plane Sailing Catalina just come over Southend very nice she looked too, just as she droped out of view had a brand spanking new BRG DB9 roar past 😀
Nice to see another ex-Southend machine back in the air Casa 2.111 next!
They founf yet another mine off Southend on Friday this time it was not a WW2 bomb but a WW1 mine,
as for the Lee on Solent love the quite from the old boy Keith Brewer “We really aren’t in any danger – I don’t think so anyway”
Chinook bloody low over Southend at about 10:30 tonight!
Its the same situation throughout the UK with people moving close to an airport then bleating on about the noise,
Classic quote from some nimby near Southend Airport “I would never have moved near the airport if I had know jets would be invented!” 😀
Who in thier right mind would NOT want hunters over head at 250ft…

Two Spitfires low over Southend Airport this afternoon from North to Southn the first was low the second was pant wettingly low with a lovley dip of the wing as he passed the building.
I was thinking (hoping !) that, North Kent aside, folks on the above wouldn’t need to worry themselves too much about “who to turn to ?” – they’ll be too busy being ‘Kebabed or Atomised’ 😀 😀 😀
Just think, no more Isle of ****ty, Shoeburyness back in business as usual (the M.o.D Range) hopefully unearthing as yet, unfound T.S.R.2 components.
But best of all, no more Sarfend & resident/Indiginous Chav’s & their Vauxhall Nova’s – they’ll all be mere fragments, Hallelujah. :dev2: :dev2:
Then I can go back & visit the Kursaal Dome, a year later in eerie silence, reminding me of that Dome shaped ‘thingy’ that’s always featured on the Hiroshima aftermath footage……. NICE :p 😉 😀 :diablo: .
Southend WOULD survive thank god, no windows would the sea front would be flooded but the water level would drop, Thames Forts would probably be lost along with the pier (at least any fire would be put out) but best of all
No more Canvey
PS: Chav Capital is Basildon, Colchester or Chumpsford…
This is a bit like the saga of the Richard Montgonery, its a US Flaged ship that sunk in UK teritorial waters still laiden with munitions,
should she blow who do the people of Sheppy, North Kent, and Southend turn to,
The UK will not have to pay Non-UK flagged ship
The US can claim Sovereign Rights and will not have to pay.
Canberra and Spit over Southend Sunday afternoon heading north out of Lydd
Was’nt the Vulcan and 707 parts filmed at Southend?
Going on to BBC2’s Airshow Programme, these was an episode when the Swordifsh flew in formation with Sea Harrier, filmed from a Sea King on the Saturday before the Southend Airshow need to check the date but it must have been 2000ish,
I was at the airport working on the jet, when they were filming the take off luckly I had my camcorder with me but did anyone recorde the programme?
Always knew it would fly
Had what looked like a Merlin circling over Southend a few times at arround 11:00am
