Wasn’t Budgie an invention of Sarah, Duchess of York?
Yep.
How about Roger Ramjet.
My first flight on a Viscount was on the first round of the farewell flights operated by BWA from Southend and back to Southend but…
that included low passes over Northolt and a very very low pass over Brooklands before a pass over Southend, very emotional.
done a few others that year as well as the following year when Helijet had bought the aircraft and done farewell Viscount flights, all my Viscount flights were in G-APEY
Cheers
all the programme has listed is “Aircraft of RAF Support Command”
What types where support command flying in 1970.
Seem to rember something about this not what it was called but the plot was on a dimond hiest in France they were bringing the dimonds to the UK via radio controlled 109’s?, with diffrent pilots taking over along the route, the kids got help from some guy and sent up thier own squadron of Spitfires, cant rember how but the kids got the diamonds and sent them up in ther spit from france for the long flight to UK over the English Channel, the bad guys had 109’s? all the aircraft were fitted with darts that could be fired off to shoot down the other aircraft.
Nick
PS:the Spitfires won and none ran out of fuel mid channel!

Worse thing they can do is use the litter box when you have visiters and what they leave can only be removed with the use of an NBC suit or sold off as a new terror weapon!
Cheers,
Had a cat called Digby, would have been nice if he had been nammed after RAF Digby but he was named after Digby the largest dog in the world! it was a mix up in the names or something, anyway he was found on Foulness ranges dodgeing the shells and bombs inbetween being fed by the base staff, when I got him was told he is very old, has frostbite on his nose, ears, bosseyed excma (scabs) and that he would not last more than 3 months all he wanted was a little bit of love and a secure warm home for the last bit of his life.
He also had a problem about washing himself so… you’ve guessed it had had a regular bath in the sink cats normally hate water but he loved it!
I must be doing something right as he lasted 5years!

Digby gave nothing but love… and dribble lots and lots of dribble
just because a pet becomes ill or old is no excuess to throw it out with the rubbish, people who mistreat animals are some of the lowest of the low, some of the storys I have heard are heartbreaking,
I fosterd a Ginger Tom Cat call willum he’s previous owner used him as a football, he had had his pelcis broken and dumped thankfully he surived and had a good few years whit us knowing nothing but love.
say sod it and get both that what I would do…
if I had any cash which I havent so I cant.
I foster cats from the CPL all have FIV (Feline AIDS) so nobody wants them, got one a short time ago called Oscar

Used to have a Merlin (white tortie)
Brother and his misses have a Ginner called Beau
Looks great, not enough room for one that big!
More pics ar requested:
