was told its the North Weald based machine hope not would hate to loose such an aircraft from the UK
G-ADXS was displayed at Stories Garage Victoria Avenue or London Road and later went to the museum
A another flea was displayed at the Palace Theatre this one was the Flea that flew accross the English Channel…scary
Just about to…
The B25 is rotton main spar cut in two places heavt corrosion cockpit stripped and when anyone is at weald again look at whats holing it up…
the props are dug in to the ground,
I beleve its been left to fall in to such a state as there was a dispute over the owership, who would want to carry out any major work on it if it turns out YOU dont own it after all.
A shame to see it in such a sad looking state but these things happen if anyone would take it on it’ll be a big big job just to move it and the restoration would prove problematical but if someone wats to do it go for it it’ll be nice to see her saved.
I am in the very very very long process of copying the auction catalouge into an HTML document every entry!
I was lucky enough to get hold of one with a few remarks in listing highest price paid.
one example was a Silver Plated Luftwaffe Toast Raak WW2 vintage £110 to a Mr Ray Hanna… I think just need to check.
To all those that have posted picture is it ok for me to use them on my site when I up-load it, you will be given full credit your name will apper
Cassa 2.111 G-AWHB many thanks to Your Name Collection (C) your name.
and at Duxford after restoration… taken on my trusty old 110mm panrix? camera.
Think it was Duxfords Spitfire show.

antone follow up with her today?
That would have been the “Southend Spitfire” which was displayed for a time in Victoria Avenue, before moving to the museum this was G-CDAN (TB863) now flyin in New Zealand as ZK-XVI.
Got the catalouge and guide as well
got a blue tin plate badge somewhere whilst I have seen a sticker for sale of the museum with the Dragon on it, just waitng for the guy to lower the price a little bit.
got my catalouge from the auctioneers a couple of years back the last one they had it cost me £10 but hey its the Southend Museum people the SOUTHEND MUSEUM
have been luckey enough to “get hold” of a copy of some of the buildings blue prints! less said about them the better me thinks… 😉
Is that you working on it?
Just trying to make out what that bi-plane is
another question
is it biplane or bi-plane
My museum posters…

The car show at the Southend Airport exhibition centre aviation way.
intresting to note the fact that the poster has been alterd by the Local Evening rag to make the event thier own!

The Museum poster in my collection
if anyone has the bookmark, pen, pencil or any other museum stufff…
I want it i want it i want it
I have the other one the blue one with the yellow biplane on. I’ll see if I can get a photo of it a bit later.
Give you £15 for it…
Or I could just stand by it and drop one…
but then Blackpool would be unihabitable for the next 100 yeras!
as for the cockpit section there is not much left in side, water has penertrated and the rot has set in the cost of restoration is not for the faint hearted.
about a galon of super glue should do the trick
on a serious note:
if anyone should buy it it will be one hell of a job to remove it, you need winchs and a stand for the thing, thata even if you can get the bolts that hold it in out,
another consideration is the safety of the aircraft working underneath it taking a heavy engine out.
they probably fell open!
Thats the one, I’ll post the picture as soon as I find it. Its not the best quality as is an old newspaper.
The govenment is pathetic how can a real but de-activated 303 be a danger to the public, have you ever seen CCTV footage of somebody holding up a bank with one.
The robber would struggle to lift off the ground if he tryed to fire it…
